Inwoodite Yianni stamas just blogged about Harliquin directing the upcoming Platinum Pias Show. The Platinum Pias are now in their third year and and almost had their first awards ceremony in Inwood. The producers eventually opted for doing it at the Tribeca Screening Room. Each year the show gets more ambitious and this year there are talks amongst the producers and director of doing an awards show with a story that deals with community issues and problems in the pursuit of solutions. Issues include homelessness.

Inwood Manhattan had an Easter Egg Hunt today and it was staged by the Church of Inwood. There was a large turnout of Inwood-ites. It was a very nice gesture by the Church of Inwood for the neighborhood. They did well in terms of creating a happening that communicated a sense of togetherness. In fact in some circles there is talk of a Community Outreach Pia nomination.
